Shivering on the 49th Parallel

I don't know what it is about that girl, but when I dive with her, we see turtles. This picture was taken on the North wall, at Eagle Ray Pass. This was one huge mother of a Hawksbill Turtle. We were out on Fisheye's boat Shutterspeed with Matty & Bert. We went to Dreamweaver first who's mooring ball has been missing for awhile. I was crusing along at 100' peering into the abyss and all around hoping to catch sight of some big subjects... turtles, sharks or rays. I DID see a trio of really big Cubera Snappers but they were pretty far below and out of camera range.

It's not a very good picture, but it's the best one of the day. When I looked at it on the LCD on the back of my camera, it looked OK, but when I got it home and looked at it full-size in Photoshop, I could see that it was a bit fuzzy and out of focus. When I started messing with the levels to try and bring some more color out, I ended up with this reddish-hued vignette around the edges which is a neat effect, but it was unintended :-) Click the link below for a full-size image (768x1024@72DPI)

Im going out again tomorrow morning, on the west side I think. Might have more to post then.. ya just never know. Little Bucket is coming along, too. I'll probably share photos with her afterwards. She's bringing her little camera and likes to post things on Sony's Image Station. She'll be happily snapping away topside pics, and I'll contribute some underwater ones if we get any good ones. I'll post links and stuff tomorrow or whenever we get around to uploading the pics.
