Shivering on the 49th Parallel
Friday, September 17, 2004

OK this is pretty cool. I have an InMarSat foldable parabolic antenna connected to someone's laptop right now, so I'll have to make this quick.

The island is toast. I have close to 200 pictures, but obviously it's going to be awhile before I can getthem up. My apt weathered the storm, we had maybe 1/4” of water in there, while both apartments on either side of us got damaged (and the ones across the street were completely destroyed) and The Ranch took a severe beating, but she looked Ivan in the eye and said “Hit me again, I can take it!” She couldnt do it again, but she held together around us.

More to come once we get a proper net connection, rather than a satelite phone cobbled together to a laptop on the frickin tarmac at the airport.

Reports of my disapearance and death on the Internet have obviously been greatly exaggerated :-)

Hey bigguy! It was good to hear that the Ranch demonstrated why it is THE BADASS of the Cayman Cowboy posts...although i heard that our bedroom is toast. Just wanted to know how my guitars, synth and computer is?

Anyway, might be coming back on sunday or monday...possibly even tomorrow if i get lucky. I'm bringing a generator as well as other supplies so if you can think of anything, send a request quick! We've been trying to call you on your cell, but if by some WEIRD twist of fate you should receive this, call us at 954-783-8409.

Hasta la Vista
