George & Darlene had their first baby today, Madelyn Cate. Darlene was all secretive about the name they picked out after the whole STELLAAAAAAAAAAAA debacle a few months ago. She didn't want to tell me what name they picked out because she was afraid I would take the piss and ruin it. Hey, isn't it better to get discouraged now before it's born, rather than have to home-school because you named it after an emotion or the weather?

Anyway, after all the CIA-style subterfuge, the healthy baby girl was born today and Madelyn Cate is a fine, fine name. Couldn't have picked a better name myself. :) Maddie is a cool shortened/nickname, too. I just got in a few moments ago and saw G online and IM'd him for an update. I called today on a couple different numbers and had to leave voicemails (like they would answer the cell phone in the OR...)

She looks just like a person... only smaller!

So today Darlene (who's birthday it is as well) got a pretty nice, healthy 7lb 7.2oz present for her bday. I could get all mushy here and say it's a gift from heaven, but that just wouldn't be my style now, would it? Kinda makes the e-card I sent seem a little lacking... :)

So I guess G FINALLY gets to SAY Who's Your Daddy, rather than hearin me say it after a particularly beautiful headshot in Halo :)

Congrats guys. I'll come up and see ya (and kick your ass at HALO2) sometime this spring. Smoke em if ya got em.
