Shivering on the 49th Parallel

So I made a new years resolution to sign up for Plaxo. Ive been getting “update requests” from people for a couple years now, and never did anything because I didn't want my details “out there” on the net. It's been a couple years now, though and they haven't had any security breaches or data theft, and no one I know who uses it has said anything bad about it. Kinda like ICQ at the beginning... I resisted Instant Messaging for a few weeks or months and my friends were all using it (this was before MSN, Yahoo or AIM even existed) and, well. Eventually I signed up for it and it changed my life...

So did Plaxo. I signed up for it and decided to put down my US Mailing Address for my “home” address, and thinking it was doing me a favor, Plaxo sent out an email to EVERYONE in my address book telling them that I had recently moved to the USA!

No. I did not move to the USA. All I did was change my mailing address to my US Freight Forwarder. In the last hour or so since I set it up, I've gotten nine emails back already saying “What happened to Cayman???”

So far it seems to be pretty cool, but that was a pretty big “oops” on the first day of use. If you want to add me, I used my mark at docjelly dot com address to sign up.

Well we've been on GC for 15 nights and have been looking for your red scooter and flaming helmet but so far haven't spotted you. A few more days and we head back to Qualicum Beach. Will keep our eyes open for you. We're in a beige Diatsu Charade - a little roller skate of a car. Actually I think most rentals are those. We can definitely relate to your traffic rants. It's NUTS here any day other than a Sunday or holiday Monday as we have just had the pleasure of experiencing. Things sure have changed here over the years. Today (Hero's day) was like it used to be here in 1990 on a busy work day. Thinking of the Brac for our next Cayman trip. Will keep our eyes open for you.
