One of the RSS feeds I “subscribe” to is called Blogdigger. Im not sure if it's an automated process, or someone with a lot of time on their hands, who scour the web looking for things that match it's filters and then re-process it's findings into it's various RSS feeds. I currently “watch” 3 different ones: Blogdigger Scuba Diving News, Blogdigger WMV Media and Blogdigger Torrent files.

Today's abomination comes from the Blogdigger WMV filter. I think it just scans the web and any web pages that have WMV files or links to WMV files in it get tagged and filtered through. One of the posts this morning was called “Flying Kiss” and was an excerpt from the website called “Baby Isaac's Blog”. I'm not putting any links to this, because I don't want to encourage them to keep posting by driving any traffic to their site.

From the “preview” or “description” that's shown in the RSS feed, it seems that Baby Isaac is 11 months old... Yet he not only has command of the English language, but knows how to use a computer, surf the web and type! If only that were the case... Instead it seems that Baby Isaac's parents are writing a blog FOR him, and typing as if it WERE him, ie in the first person. Here's a nausea-inducing extract:

I must be getting old! I forgot to mention that I turned 11 months old yesterday. I only remembered when I attended my buddy Elijah's birthday party yesterday.

Normally I'd demand a present from everyone I know... or don't know. But I'm feeling generous so here is my present to you: Some
flying kisses! (1.78MB) [link removed]

Who am I kidding? I want presents! I want a party! One more month is too long to wait!

Baby Isaac

Now I know that blogs are the Internet equivalent of verbal diarrhea, and that blogs are seemingly like bellybuttons: everybody has one, but COME ON! I can't even think of the right word to use to describe what a hardcore BUNCH OF SHIT sites like this are.

I was ranting about this to a co-worker a few minutes ago, and she said that she experienced something similar: an email from an “unknown sender” introducing themselves for the first time, but seemingly knowing a lot of personal details about her... It turned out it was her brother-in-law, writing an email purporting to be FROM their newborn son, “introducing himself” to his new aunty...

Cringeworthy.
