still have power... pretty surprising. last gusts were about 80mph Albie thinks, and that was pretty scary.

patio doors in the back here are groaning and creaking with the wind already. shit's supposed to start hitting the fan betwen 12-2 and the eye between 6 and 8.

going to be a long night.

Mark phoned his parents today, Tuesday Sept. 14th 2004, around 9AM PST to report that he was fine. YAY!

The email I received from his brother is below.

Thank you Bubba for keeping Mark safe.

Hi Bob,

I just got to my parent's place and my mom told me that mark called at 9:00am PST to say he was OK. I don't know any more details, but when I get them i'll let you know too. Let anyone else know if you see anyone who still hasn't heard from Mark.

Thanks,

-Steve-

Good to hear that DocJelly lives...

This is Jack Burton talking to you from the Pork Chop Express..talking to whoever's listening out there...Like I told the last wife... I said Honey.. I never drive faster than I can see..besides.. it's all in the reflexes.....Now you just listen to the old Pork Chop Express and take his advice on a dark and stormy night when the pillars of heaven are shakin'....when some 155mph, 320 mile-wide hurricane grabs you by your neck and taps the back of your favorite head up against a bar room wall looks you crooked in the eye and asks "Have you paid your dues?" You just stare that big sucker back in the eye and do what ole Jack Burton does at a time like that....."Have you paid your dues Jack?" "yes sir the check is in the mail"
