Shivering on the 49th Parallel

Last week I posted an article about the Cyber Divers News Network after they went on an attack of my old buddy "Cajun" Dave Marcel after his shark bite to the face (that he totally deserved, but that's not the point... jackass :) )

While giving them a verbal smackdown, I did not post any links to their site. Why drive traffic and help increase their "relevance" in the search engines? Turns out that I'm not the only one who thinks C D NN are a bunch of jackasses. Wetpixel, a well-known underwater photography site posted an article linking to another site called Divepoll that aggregated a lot of known shitty behaviour by CD NN including domain hijacking of advertisers who stopped advertising with them, email harvesting and spamming.

They've actually posted a list of CDN N's known advertisers and are calling for a boycott and there's a lively discussion going on over at Wetpixel's forums. If you've been a "victim' of CD NN or any of their other sites infringing on your copyright (using your photos or writing without authorization, or have any libel complaints about them, Eric Cheng or Ken Knezick. Their addresses are posted in that forum.

Aha .. you already knew what I was commenting on before .. Eric is a good friend of mine, i'm not really sure how CDNN actually supports itself, theres no real advertising anywhere.
