Nothing sucks quite as hard as having to move... I suppose the blessing in Cayman is that 99% of rentals are furnished so you don't have to rent a truck and move all that heavy shit around. Still, all that packing and unpacking is a pain in the arse.

Phil sent me this video a few months ago and I laughed my white-ass off. It's sitting in my saved attachments folder, and is on the 'playlist' whe people come over, the booze starts flowing and the "I saw this thing on the internet..." discussions start happening.

Last night we were at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman for beverages after dinner. They had a DJ there, so it was pretty loud. With DJs come dancers, and this big white guy got up on the dancefloor and started shakin his groove thang and made everyone else laugh. It's within the realm of possibility that he was drunk and moving around spastically on purpose for everyone else's enjoyment, but it's also possible that he was the hippest, grooviest white-boy on the island last night and wanted EVERYONE to know it.

So between laughs, I said "DId you ever see that video that made the email rounds a couple months ago called "How to dance like a white guy?" and everyone said no. I collected up everyone's email addresses and said I would send it to them, but what a bunch of bandwidth! Instead I went to YouTube and searched for it, and found it. Here then, for your viewing pleasure, How To Dance Like A White Guy...

It's hard sometimes to see all the movies you want to see when we only have two screens.

Steve sent me this link in an email with about 277 exclamataion points after it.

Sledge Hammer was a cop in Los Angeles in the 80s who was a narcissist and a complete DUMB-ASS. I don't remember the specifics because it was so long ago, but it was one of the funniest shows at the time. He even used his almost-trademarked “Trust me, I know what I'm doing” while trying to defuse a nuclear bomb in the season (show?) finale. After all these years, they've released Season 1 on DVD (well it'll be out at the end of the month) Every single Amazon review on the above link is 5 out of 5 stars.

In an interview last month in Entertainment Weekly (that you have to be a subscriber to log into their site and read) he said that if there was enough interest, that they were considering doing a Sledge Hammer movie. Why not? It wouldn't be any worse than half the shit that comes out of Holywood these days anyway.

Sledge Hammer's fans are called “Hammerheads” and they have their own website. Not to be confused with the DEMA Hammerheads thing.
